We Americans collectively eat 100 acres of pizza every day. Yet how often do we think of the fine folks that helped put those slices on the table? The goal of Live Free or Pie is to document the pizza experience and the people behind the pie. Along the way we hope to meet a great many pie makers, learn their stories, and take in some fun tips and tricks. We sincerely appreciate you stopping by and joining us in this great pizza community.

A graphic designer and printmaker by trade, Brent’s true passions lie in dough, cheese and sauce. His pizza journey began at American Flatbread’s Burlington, Vermont hearth. After this eureka moment, pizza has slowly but surely moved through the typical pie obsessive benchmarks: increased pizzeria visits, pre-made dough, self-made dough, sourdough cultures, and obsessing over hydration percentages.
Brent is an avid home baker of pizzas, breads, and other goods. He currently lives outside Chicago with his wife and two cats Benny and Fatty.

David King grew up in Seattle, but moved to sunny Arizona to pursue his passion for production. Now living in Chicago, David spends his days as an editor, videographer and fan of DSLR’s.
